老莊主 Robert Jayer 是勃根地傳奇釀酒師Henri Jayer表兄弟，Robert 曾拜師於DRC釀酒總管Andre Noblet 之下，在DRC釀酒長達八年。
Robert Jayer 和酒農的女兒 Gilles 女士結婚，結合兩家的葡萄園創立了 Jayer-Gilles 酒廠。現任莊主Gilles Jayer是Robert 的兒子。
Jayer-Gilles的入門酒款，都是以四十年以上葡萄樹釀成，品質出眾。
Jayer-Gilles其採用的釀法幾乎與 Henri Jayer 如出一轍，100% 去梗、發酵前低溫浸皮等，這在 Jayer-Gilles 的酒中也同樣可看得見。

Description

不僅平易近人又和藹可親，風味也誠實直率。紅酒具有Pinot Noir閃亮的深紅色光澤，有時候會呈現強烈的石榴色澤，或者在酒款年輕時會有明亮的櫻桃色。香氣會有從櫻桃、醋栗、黑醋栗到灌木、蘑菇、香料、肉桂等經典氣味，入口有力、飽滿而具有肉感，年輕時單寧明顯，但隨著時間會發展得更為柔順。
